Make MY Museum a classroom destination! We make learning fun and affordable and cater to your educational needs.  Group visits are designed for 3rd grade and below. Call us to schedule your field trip today!

How much does it cost?

Students receive a reduced rate of $3 each/ Teachers and chaperones are free

(Membership rates do not apply to our field trip guests)

In our efforts to support all members of our community, we offer reduced rate and free field trip scholarships. When can my class come to the Museum?

Field trips are available Tuesday-Friday for a 90 minutes per visit.

Please have two alternative dates in mind prior to making your reservation.

How do I make my reservation?

Call 831.649.6444

Be ready to provide the following information:

  • Contact information
  • Name of each educator in your group
  • Number of students and chaperones, we require one adult for every five students
  • Age or grade levels in your group

How do I pay for my field trip?

You will receive a confirmation letter, which will include an invoice. Please review the information and contact us with any changes immediately. If you have not already done so, you can pay your balance on the day of your visit with cash, check or credit card (Visa, American Express or MasterCard).

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellations 14 days prior to the Field Trip date must be made in writing and will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days prior will incur a 20% cancellation fee charged to the credit card provided at the time of reservation.

While you are at MY Museum…

We are happy to cater to your educational needs, please call Sarah Van Der Stad at 649.6444 or email sarah@mymuseum.org to discuss potential activities.

Upon arrival, your group will be introduced to the Museum and learn about our playtime rules. Then, your group is free to enjoy the exhibits for up to 90 minutes. We ask that all chaperones and educators assume responsibility for the group and are present throughout the entire 90 minute visit.

How should I prepare for our field trip?

Please review all of your reservation materials. Educators are welcome to visit the Museum free of charge prior to a scheduled field trip, please bring your school ID with you. Review the MY Museum rules and information provided in your Confirmation Packet with you class. Select your chaperones and provide them with the same rules and information so that they can better assist you on the day of the field trip.

Where do we go on the day of our visit?

Please have your group unload in the loading zone in front of our building on Washington Street. Upon arrival to the museum, you will be greeted by a staff-member at the front entrance. This person will assist you with unloading students, making your payment and coordinating your group. Public parking is available for those who need it, please call for additional information.

Can we have lunch or snack at the Museum?

Yes, your group can use our party rooms to accommodate up to 15 people for $10 per room (maximum of  $20 and 45 people). Please make sure to reserve the party room when you make your field trip reservation.
