BabyJam™ - Wednesday 9:30-10am

babyjam-webAn interactive tickle, giggle, and cuddle class that will strengthen the bond between parent and baby (new born to walking). This class stimulates physical and cognitive development by using songs, movement, and colorful manipulatives. Promote your baby’s learning through music, object exploration, and creative movement while creating loving memories.

Join Ms. Sarah every Wednesday morning from 9:30-10 am. The class is open and free to all MYM Members and daily guests. The museum exhibits will be ready for play at 10:00 when MY Museum officially opens.

KinderJam® - Wednesdays 11:00-11:45am

KinderJam® is a fun, exciting, and high-energy Music and Movement program that emphasizes the kinesthetic and tactile learning of pre-academic skills and concepts while promoting positive parent engagement. Classes are taught in a Parent and Me format and designed to enrich children from birth to Kindergarten entry.

MY Music Series - Thursdays 10-10:30am

Join popular children’s musician, MaryLee Sunseri every Thursday morning for singing, dancing and more! Children have a natural love of music and exposure on a regular basis helps children to become more creative when problem-solving, and stimulates healthy brain development. This dynamic program is sponsored in part by the Arts Council for Monterey County. Free with admission, don’t miss it!


Weird Science - Fridays 10:30-11:30am

Weird Science offers a new scientific experiment every Friday. Hands-on learning is a necessary experience in early childhood education. Young visitors will have the opportunity to explore the scientific world on their own terms at their own pace. MYM staff facilitate learning through demonstrations and guided activities. Prepare to get messy and have fun!

These reduced admission days are offered on the first Tuesday of every month to all Monterey County residents. Please bring current identification to verify your residence.

Positive Discipline - Sundays, Sep 11 - Oct 16th 9-11am

Silly FamilyLearn how to set limits within your family without negativity with facilitator Kim Biggio. Kim is the Coordinator and Lead Teacher for Lighthouse Preschool and a mother of three. Kim has an extensive background in Parent Education. Members-$75 or $120/couple Non-members-$85 or $150/couple for the 6 class series. Childcare is available for only $10 per child per session ($7 siblings)! Pre-registration is required, call 649-6444.

MY Museum Camp 2016 - Session 1: June 13-17 & Session 2: June 27-July 1 9:00am-4:00pm


Ages 6-8. Explore what makes Monterey special by spending a week at the local children’s museum. Campers will play and experiment with unique hands-on exhibits, discover new friendships, and explore hidden treasures in our community. Parent Empowerment Group -

Currently on “Summer Break”.

Join Kim Biggio each Tuesday morning at 9:00 am for a lively hour and interactive discussion on the adventures of parenting. We will continue to offer our on-site childcare for potty trained children ages 2 and up.

$10 per parent or $15 per parent INCLUDING on-site childcare. To insure adequate supervision, childcare pre-registration is required by the Friday before each class. Please bring a snack for each child, we will provide water and access to the museum.
