Take your students on a field trip to remember!

MY Museum’s Field Trips give children an opportunity to discover the world around them.

During a 90-minute field trip, children can explore our unique hands-on exhibits about a variety of subjects including STEM, art, music, theater, health, and everyday role-playing.

In our effort to support all members of our community, we offer reduced-rate and free field trip scholarships.  If your school is interested in a MY Museum visit through this program, please reach out to us on (831) 649-6444 to discuss our Community Partners Application.

MY Museum field trips are recommended for First Grade and under.

Rates

Our rates are $5 per student.
Teachers and Chaperones are admitted free.

Requirements

We require one adult to every five children e.g. 25 students would require 5 adults.

Times/Dates

Field Trips are 90 minutes long and available for booking Mon-Fri based on availability and size of group.

Please note: We reserve the right to turn field trips away who have not given the Museum advance notice of their visit, including groups that purchased general admission for 10 or more students.

Field Trip FAQs *

  • We kindly ask that field trips fill out a field trip request form (found on this page). We reserve the right to turn field trips away who have not given the Museum advance notice of their visit, including groups that purchased general admission for 10 or more students.

  • The Museum does not have a field trip dining area on-site. We recommend eating a snack before entering the Museum, so your group has energy to play until you leave for lunch. 

  • Buses: Unload in front of our building at 425 Washington Street. Bus parking is available at the wharf.

    Cars: Parking is available on the street for 90 minutes or in the East Parking Garage on the corner of Washington and Franklin Streets for $7 per day. Parking is strictly enforced.

  • Field Trips are scheduled for 90 minutes in the Museum.

  • The Museum can accommodate school groups of all sizes. If your group is larger than 60 students, please email our team directly at fieldtrips@mymuseum.org.

  • We require 1 adult for every 5 students. All adult chaperones receive FREE Museum admission.

    Chaperones bringing siblings on the field trip will receive the discounted field trip student rate.

  • Refunds are not available for cancellations made within 2 weeks of the field trip date or no-shows. Special circumstances will be addressed as needed.

  • A deposit is not required. Payment is required on the day of the field trip and will be based on actual student attendance. The Museum accepts payment by Credit Card, check, or purchase order, referencing the entire field trip balance due.

    Field trips that have elected to pay in advance:

    • And have requested at least 2 weeks prior to the field trip date to bring additional students, are responsible for paying for additional students on the day of the field trip.

    • Will not receive a refund for student attrition.

    Refunds are not available for cancellations made within 2 weeks of the field trip date or no-shows.

    If paying via purchase order, please request a field trip at least 2 months in advance and mention your field trip date and the name of the school in the notes section of your reservation.
